What are cBNMesh EB used for?

 

cBNMesh electroplated bonds maintain high cutting and grinding manufacturing performance with excellent accuracy and efficiency. Electroplated bonds are grains bound to the body by an electroplated coating, like nickel, and create thin layers with a larger proportion for grains to protrude. This allows for grinding tools and discs with electroplated bonds to provide excellent performance in grinding and cutting tools. 

Cubic Boron Nitride (Cubic Boron Nitride) is a synthetic abrasive with grains bonded by ceramic material. It is the second hardest material behind diamonds and is widely used for grinding steel. At Hyperion Materials & Technologies, we develop and supply cBNMesh materials used in electroplated bonds into a wide range of products designed for ferrous grinding.

cBN G3 is an amber, regular, semi-friable option that is preferable to very high-strength alternatives for touch-dressing applications with single-layer tools. 

 

cBN GPR7

 

cBN GPR7 is an amber, angular, sharp shape, high strength option with excellent life that is ideally suited to high stock removal applications in single layer tools.
